I am an artist who loves drawing in cartoon and anime/manga styles. I love trying new styles all the time, so my gallery is pretty inconsistent.

I am open for commissions, please send me a note if you're interested!

I am currently on a big Sailor Moon kick! I grew up with it and I especially love the manga. I have some fan projects in the works and lots of ideas for illustration, so if you're a fan please watch me! I love seeing people enjoy my work, and I really appreciate comments too!

I also cross post some stuff on these other sites, so if you like my stuff please support me there too!

My art blog also has some works I have not posted to my DA:
Hey all, my kitty Siren needed some tests run and now I am stuck with a gnarly vet bill - and if the tests come back with bad results I may be looking at an even more ridiculous bill because she may have mammary cancer.

I am wondering if anyone would be interested in a Chibi Commission sale -

I am thinking $10 for something like these:
Chibi Makoto - Sailor Moon Crystal by ChibiRikku Chibi Minako - Sailor Moon Crystal by ChibiRikku

I'm hoping to get at least 10 people interested but the more the better, no limit right now.

Please send me a note or comment if you're interested.

Which Sailor Moon series have you seen/read so far?

I've seen a bit of Crystal and the original DiC/CWi dub of Sailor Moon. I'm waiting for Viz's dub of stars, but I have no interest in the dub for the first 4 seasons because... it's just not appealing to me; it just FEELS like the same, overly faithful script with wordy dialogue.

Crystal looks interesting, but I really don't want to watch subtitles; I like watching all of the screen and I can't keep track of things in Subs. I'm a bit hesitant to watch it, since I've heard that there are some episodes that are nothing but exposition.

The one SM related footage I want to see super badly is the "Evil" Toon Makers version.

I didn't read the manga because I couldn't find any version of it.

So I've read all the manga, and owned several different versions of it. Miss Dream has both the Tokyopop edition of the manga and translations of the new reprinted manga available on her website. Some of her translations are a bit dubious in nature though. Kodansha also released the reprinted manga and you can find all those on Amazon. The manga is definitely my favorite version!

I've seen most of the DiC dub of the 90's anime, and all of the Japanese-language anime fan-subbed. I have a soft spot in my heart for the 90's anime, but when I finally marathoned it all it just didn't live up to my expectations. Especially Stars. Stars made me very angry.

I've been watching Sailor Moon Crystal and am all caught up with the latest episodes. I can't wait to hear it in English. They're premiering the Sailor Moon Crystal dub at Anime Expo next month!!! Personally I think it's been a great adaptation so far.

I have also gotten about a quarter of the way through the Live-action Sailor Moon - Miss Dream also has translated episodes for that available. The direction and effects and acting are a bit cheesy and typical for Japanese shows, but the writing and characters and story are great.

edit: I alo have been playing a ROM of the RPG game, which is also pretty fun. The gameplay isnt amazing but the story is interesting.

Well, aside from my hatred for subs for viewing issues, I did see some of Crystal and... I really found it... okay. A season 6 would have been preferable to me, but this more faithful adaptation is... alright. It is tiring to watch at times, though.

Stars was terrible to you? What are your opinions on each season of Sailor Moon, aside from Stars? I liked Super S the most and R the least (R is not terrible, but I didn't find it AS entertaining as the others).

I never seen Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon, aside from a few clips. It looks really dull to me, but not super dull.

You heard of the USA Sailor Moon games? They're pretty much educational titles, since Sailor Moon was marketed as a kid's show.

Crystal is an adaptation of the storyline in the manga. If you're expecting all of Sailor Moon to be like the 90's anime, you shouldn't - the 90's anime is actually the farthest from the source material. The characters and story are very different from the manga. The other adaptations of the story, such as PGSM and Sera Myu, are much closer to the source material, with Crystal being the closest.

I feel about the same as you regarding the seasons - I actually really liked SuperS, and R was probably my least favorite for lots of reasons - mainly they ruined a bunch of my favorite characters. Super was okay, and the first season was okay.

PGSM is much more heavily character driven than any other adaptation, with a focus on a developing storyline and characters and some really interesting plot points not seen in other adaptations.
