I am an artist who loves drawing in cartoon and anime/manga styles. I love trying new styles all the time, so my gallery is pretty inconsistent.

I am open for commissions, please send me a note if you're interested!

I am currently on a big Sailor Moon kick! I grew up with it and I especially love the manga. I have some fan projects in the works and lots of ideas for illustration, so if you're a fan please watch me! I love seeing people enjoy my work, and I really appreciate comments too!

I also cross post some stuff on these other sites, so if you like my stuff please support me there too!

My art blog also has some works I have not posted to my DA:
SALE: COLOR CHIBIS ARE A FLAT RATE OF $10!! Please help me pay for cancer-removal surgery for my cat, Siren!!

In order to pay for the vet bills for my cat, who was recently diagnosed with cancer, I am HAVING A SALE ON CHIBI COMMISSIONS. There is no limit to how many you can commission, just be aware that the more commissions I get the longer the commission will take to finish! Generally a commission will take about a week (unless I get slammed at work).

I am taking commissions and made a fancy little detailed image to show some examples and give a quick overview of prices.

Commission Information! by ChibiRikku

I will do my best to answer any questions you may have and set up an FAQ in this journal entry if needed!

Payment Method accepted: Paypal
Payment: Up front $5-$20
Anything $25 and above can be paid half up front, half after commission is finished if you'd like.

Once the payment is received, I will do a preliminary sketch and send it to you. I will make any changes or tweaks needed at this point before finalizing the picture.

Depending on my work schedule and the complexity of the picture, waiting time could be anywhere from 3 to 21 days.
If for whatever reason it gets delayed I will notify you immediately.

If you are interested in commissioning me, please send me a note titled "Commission" with as much of the following information as you want:

Commission Type: (Profile, Full body, Color, etc.)
Size and Resolution: ( WxH in pixels, WxH in inches, 300dpi etc.)
Character Information: (name, appearance, series, links to images, etc.)
Background information if applicable: (color, theme, scenery, pattern, etc.)
Any additional information on poses, dialogue, text, etc. if needed.

If you're not on Deviantart, and would still like to commission me, please email

Right now I will set a low limit of 5 slots and update them here.

Are you well versed in Japanese? Asking since you seem to know a lot in the descriptions...

I'm not, which is, if you look at my Sailor Moon art, they're all American names...

I'm not fluent at all but I know enough about the basics of the language/kanji/kana/hiragana/etc to understand bits and pieces, as well as create names from actual Japanese words/kanji (instead of just creating vaguely Japanese-sounding names).

Which Sailor Moon series have you seen/read so far?

I've seen a bit of Crystal and the original DiC/CWi dub of Sailor Moon. I'm waiting for Viz's dub of stars, but I have no interest in the dub for the first 4 seasons because... it's just not appealing to me; it just FEELS like the same, overly faithful script with wordy dialogue.

Crystal looks interesting, but I really don't want to watch subtitles; I like watching all of the screen and I can't keep track of things in Subs. I'm a bit hesitant to watch it, since I've heard that there are some episodes that are nothing but exposition.

The one SM related footage I want to see super badly is the "Evil" Toon Makers version.

I didn't read the manga because I couldn't find any version of it.

So I've read all the manga, and owned several different versions of it. Miss Dream has both the Tokyopop edition of the manga and translations of the new reprinted manga available on her website. Some of her translations are a bit dubious in nature though. Kodansha also released the reprinted manga and you can find all those on Amazon. The manga is definitely my favorite version!

I've seen most of the DiC dub of the 90's anime, and all of the Japanese-language anime fan-subbed. I have a soft spot in my heart for the 90's anime, but when I finally marathoned it all it just didn't live up to my expectations. Especially Stars. Stars made me very angry.

I've been watching Sailor Moon Crystal and am all caught up with the latest episodes. I can't wait to hear it in English. They're premiering the Sailor Moon Crystal dub at Anime Expo next month!!! Personally I think it's been a great adaptation so far.

I have also gotten about a quarter of the way through the Live-action Sailor Moon - Miss Dream also has translated episodes for that available. The direction and effects and acting are a bit cheesy and typical for Japanese shows, but the writing and characters and story are great.

edit: I alo have been playing a ROM of the RPG game, which is also pretty fun. The gameplay isnt amazing but the story is interesting.
