Commission for meganekkochaser [link]

He commissioned a pic of Rikku and Yuffie in a chibi style similar to one of my old pics, colored in Neopikos. (Try and guess which one >w> ) I pretty much got to choose what they were doing and wearing.

I had a lot of trouble with this because I realized a bit too late that I had very insufficient tools and materials to do a hand-inked and hand-colored pic - so after this pic I'm sad to say I'm not offering that kind of picture for commissions until I get better tools. I was planning on finishing it digitally if I messed the pic up but I managed to finish it and have it turn out fine.

I really like how Rikku's hair turned out, but Yuffie's...notsomuch. I experimented with a few styles of applying the marker ink to see the different results, so I learned something from this which is always good. I spent a LOT of time just experimenting with the markers on other pieces of paper to see which colors were suitable as well. I also noticed the thinner the lines, the easier it is to notice color bleeding. Rikku's skintone was going to be different too until I ran out of the needed color. I barely managed to finish up Yuffie. So that's why Rikku looks like she got lost in the desert for a few days. In a bathingsuit. :B
